The moment and the circumstances have led to the approximation of the main technology companies for the mediation of a business cooperation project.

The digital age is transforming the insurance industry, and this includes brokers. The arrival of new technologies and digital tools is changing the way in which they operate and offer their services, and this implies a necessary evolution, in many aspects disruptive, in the structures and business models of mediation companies.

We are living in a new digital age and we must not forget that throughout history, dominance and leadership in technology has determined political, social and economic hegemony. Technology is an essential element for insurance brokers to maintain their current leadership in distribution. Multichannel is an unquestionable reality, and mediators have no better way to live within it than by becoming strong through a contribution of value to the consumer supported by technology. Technological companies have the great mission and responsibility of being at the side of mediators, accompanying them and providing them with the necessary skills to do so.

The moment and the circumstances have led to the approximation of the main technological companies for mediation to a business cooperation project, of an associative nature, with a global and transversal approach oriented to the application of technology to the progress of professional distribution, with a open and representative attitude.

born like this AETMA, the Spanish Association of Technological Companies of Insurance Mediation, promoted and founded by the companies Codeoscopic, ebroker, Gecose, MPM and Soft QS.

We want the cooperation initiative to be perceived as an instrument for the representativeness of associated companies, based on the values of dialogue and consensus.

The great objective of AETMA is to remain at the mediation side, at a time when the 2030 horizon puts on the table important challenges for brokers, to achieve obligatory objectives associated with a process of digital transformation, which affects both the society, as well as the business world. We want the cooperation initiative to be perceived as an instrument for the representativeness of associated companies, based on the values of dialogue and consensus. In the coming years there will be many things to talk about in terms of technology in the sector, in many cases with important strategic implications for mediators. In this highly transcendent dialogue we want to be your natural ally and your trusted reference point.

TOP moment

Currently, the focus of the initiatives is around the CIMA sector project, in specific areas such as the progressive evolution of EIAC as a standard, with particular attention to its two-way operation, and also the project for the digital signing of insurance contracts, and its functional triangulation between insurers, brokers and technology companies; and in this sense we must not forget that insurance brokerage involves active participation in underwriting supervision, which implies an important level of technological integration between the systems of insurers, brokers, certifying entities and the devices that customers use. A challenge as ambitious and convenient as it is necessary.

And in relation to the "CIMA moment", it goes without saying that it is important to extend its adoption and use to the largest possible number of insurers, brokers and technology companies, an issue in which all sectoral actors have important work and responsibility with a project , which in itself represents the efficiency and productivity in the insurer-broker relationship. We all have to be at CIMA, because it is good for everyone. And obviously, like any ambitious and relevant project, there are issues that can be improved, or done in a different way, and surely they will be improved and done, but for this we have to be there, with a positive attitude to build it together.

In addition to CIMA, we are sure that other important and highly transcendental projects for professional distribution will come to the sector soon, and we want to be prepared to accompany the mediators in their development, objectives and interests, accompaniment in which AETMA considers it essential to maintain a permanent and fluid dialogue with the main professional organizations, both at an institutional, associative and commercial level, whose sectoral role is essential and essential for mediation-technological alignment.

When you visit other countries, you realize that in Spain we have a highly developed vision and state of the technology applied to mediation..

Necessary vision of the general interest

When you visit other countries you realize that in Spain we have a highly developed vision and state of the technology applied to mediation. There are issues, such as connectivity, in which we are true leaders, and this is the consequence of great sectoral cooperation maintained over the years, something of which we should be proud, and also a source of motivation to continue advancing and progressing in a new digital era that is changing the way insurance is sold and managed, and in which brokers, and mediation in general, can take advantage of new technologies and digital tools to offer personalized services and greater contribution of professional added value to its clients.

The new digital era will surely not eliminate the role of insurance brokers in the industry, nor in the market, but will transform them and provide new opportunities. And there must be mediation technology companies, accompanying, being useful for this purpose, in the context of an AETMA that facilitates and catalyzes cooperation from the perspective of a necessary vision of general interest.
