ebroker, MPM Software, Codeoscopic, Gecose and SoftQS create the Spanish Association of Technological Insurance Mediation Companies (AETMA)

The transformation of business models, within the framework of the new digital economy, represents an important challenge for the evolutionary transition of insurance distribution companies, and the way in which they will incorporate the advantages that technology, as an essential element of competitive value, will play into your business strategies.

The reality experienced in recent decades in our sector has revealed the unquestionable contribution to the progress and development of the market of the different business initiatives, aimed at providing insurance brokers with tools and technological services of a different nature.

Comprehensive management of business operations, CRM strategy, automation and BPM implementation, data analytics, mobility, B2C operations, standardized industry connectivity; These are some of the functional areas in which the ICT industry must remain at the side of the insurance mediation to achieve great objectives associated with the challenge of an inevitable and necessary transformation, in search of essential competitiveness and efficiency to maintain its relevant position in the sector.

There is no doubt that the consensus between the different sectoral actors, as well as the vision of the global interest in the application of technology to the progress of professional insurance distribution, requires an open attitude and vision regarding cooperation, and proof of this is that a relevant representation of the technology companies that operate in the Spanish market has decided to launch this project of an associative nature, through which they express their firm commitment to act as a representative institution of an ICT industry, totally aligned and identified with the interests of professional mediators, as well as the general interests of the insurance sector.

With this vocation, the SPANISH ASSOCIATION OF INSURANCE MEDIATION TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES (AETMA) was born, a cooperative business initiative for representativeness, based on the values of dialogue, consensus, progress and the modernization of professional insurance mediation.

These are some of the statements of the members of the Board of Directors:

Higinio Iglesias (ebroker), president of AETMA: "We are at a time of transformation of business models, within the framework of the new digital economy, which represents an important challenge for the evolutionary transition of insurance distribution companies, and the way in which they will incorporate the advantages that technology, as an essential element of competitive value, will play into their business strategies. Mediation faces challenges, such as concentration, where we technology companies can contribute all our knowledge of the sector. We must remember that the technology for mediators that we have developed in Spain for years is possibly the best in the world. This new association seeks consensus, dialogue and loyal cooperation with all the actors in the sector. It is not born as a front against anyone, it is born with the vocation to build.

David Millet (MPM), Vice President of AETMA: «A very important milestone, which was born with the vocation to be open and to promote that the rest of the technology companies of smaller mediators can join. It is important that we all act with a single voice because mediation has important challenges ahead in which we can help them.»

Joan Benet (Gecose), treasurer of AETMA: «We are not going against but in favor of the sector, defending the interests of brokers.»

Antonio García (SoftQs), member of AETMA: "It is the beginning of a path, in which we intend to improve the work of the mediator."

Ángel Blesa (Codeoscopic), secretary of AETMA: "The best thing is that we are here willing to do things in common, for example, participating in the CIMA Commission with a single voice."
