This Friday, Higinio Iglesias, CEO, and Mónica García, responsible for sales of the insurance ERP ebroker, participated in the Conference "The future of insurance mediation", organized by the Caceres Chamber of Commerce with AJPS – Association of Young Insurance Professionals and our users DATA GROUP. An initiative that is part of the commitment of the AJPS and the Extremeña Association of Insurance Brokers and Brokers (ASSOCIATION) with quality training and the professionalization of the sector.
In the event, face-to-face and online, Juan José Candela, president of Asoccex, Jaime Sánchez, Head of Insurance of Cobee, Mª Luz Macarro, Technician of the Acelera Pyme office of the Chamber of Commerce, Cristina Vila, Trainer and Advisor, Manuel Granado, CEO of Grupo Data and Luis Fernando Gallego, provincial ambassador of the AJPS and head of company insurance at Grupo Data, who spoke about the role of the mediator in society and the importance of their figure in a hybrid ecosystem.
Higinio Iglesias stressed that the future of mediation is conditioned by a new paradigm in the way of developing business models, which should not be based on the old idea of managing policies, but of managing clients. In addition, he highlighted the 4 axes on which the insurance broker business should be based: data as a lever for growth, communication and its omnichannel strategy, marketing through proximity to the client, and efficiency to maximize results.
He also emphasized two perspectives that exist in data management: the regulations, compliance with which is an obligation, and the use of data, which means an option for mediation. However, he stressed that to take advantage of the potential of data, it is necessary to have means and knowledge and to cover both aspects, business cooperation between brokers and training in data knowledge through initiatives such as Prisma or the promotion of projects such as the recent title "University Specialist in Data Science applied to the insurance activity" of the University of Oviedo«
